Do you only work with bookkeepers and accountants?

Yes. VA&T provides outsourced compliance services exclusively to UK bookkeepers and accountancy practices.
We do not work directly with business owners or the general public.

What compliance work can I outsource to you?

You can outsource one service or your entire compliance workload, depending on your needs. ​All outsourced

Are your services delivered entirely from the UK?

Yes. All work is carried out by our UK-based team in Manchester and the Fylde Coast. We do not offshore or
outsource overseas, which is important to many practices who want local expertise, clear communication and UK
regulatory knowledge.

Who will be my main point of contact?

You will work directly with Nicola Fallon, the practice owner, during onboarding and ongoing support.
For certain services such as payroll, another specialist team member may also assist you.

Clients are provided with access to our secure SharePoint portal, where you can upload documents safely and share information with us at any time.

What qualifications and experience do you have?
​
Nicola Fallon, the practice owner, is a qualified Bookkeeper, Payroll Agent and Tax Agent with over 30 years’
experience in corporate finance and extensive technical expertise in UK compliance.
​
Do you have professional indemnity insurance?
Yes. We are insured with Qdos for up to £1,000,000.

How does onboarding work if we decide to outsource to you?

The onboarding process includes:

Proposal call to confirm scope and pricing

Letter of engagement for approval

Client onboarding meeting to gather ID, system access and workflow preferences

Clear timelines for delivery of your first compliance tasks
We make the process simple and smooth.

Why do you need identification if you’re working with my practice?
​
As we are supervised by HMRC under the Money Laundering Regulations 2017, we must verify the identity of all
new clients before we begin providing services.

How do we pay for outsourced services?
​

Annual compliance work (e.g., Self-Assessment or Year-End Accounts): invoiced upon completion and payable by bank transfer before submission.

Payroll outsourcing: billed monthly in arrears via direct debit.

Packages or ongoing arrangements can also be agreed depending on the volume of work.
What are your opening hours?
We are available Monday–Friday, 10:00am to 4:00pm.

Emails received outside these hours will be responded to promptly on the next working day.

Where are you based?
​
We’re based in Worsley (Manchester) and Greenhalgh (Fylde Coast), working remotely with bookkeeping and accountancy practices across the UK.

Do you offer in-person meetings?
​
We work remotely and do not offer in-person visits.
​
All communication is handled through scheduled calls, email, or our secure SharePoint platform.

Do you offer white-label services?
​
Yes. We can deliver work under your branding, allowing you to present payroll, accounts or tax returns directly to your clients with complete discretion.

​
Can you work directly with my clients?
​
We typically work through you, but if preferred, we can deal directly with your clients.
​
​
Can you help with overflow work during busy periods?
​
Yes. Many firms outsource to us during Self-Assessment season or Year-End deadlines. We can pick up overflow work quickly and reliably.

Do you offer fixed-fee arrangements?
​
Yes. For practices wanting predictable costs, fixed monthly packages can be arranged depending on the scope and volume of work.

​
What is your turnaround time?
​
Turnaround times vary by service, but we aim to complete most tasks within 10 working days.
​
​
Do you sign NDAs?
​
We are happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement if required.
